The Iconic Elephant

The theme of this art event is the iconic elephant. The image of an elephant has symbolic meaning in many cultures around the world. In general, it is symbolic with attributes such as strength, honour, stability and tenacity.

In Hindu culture the elephant is represented in the form of Ganesh who is the god of luck, fortune, protection and is a blessing upon all new projects. In many African cultures the elephant is not just a symbol of strength and power, it is also praised for its size, longevity, stamina, mental faculties, cooperative spirit and loyalty.

Come and have a go at painting this amazing iconic animal.

No experience necessary. Our highly experienced art tutors will guide you through the process of painting your picture, step by step, so that you can relax and just enjoy the experience.

Located opposite Lochinver House School, this hidden gem is a friendly and hospitable venue for our social painting evening. Just right for relaxing and letting your mind unwind while you paint this fabulous picture of a summer's day.

If you're driving, the lovely team from the Builders Arms will have some alcohol free mocktails to help you capture the mood of a lazy summer's day. These are separately priced depending on the cocktail of your choice. If you're feeling peckish while you paint they have a selection of grazing food options on offer. However, why not arrive earlier* and try one of the yummy dishes from their full menu.

*food is available from 12pm onwards so plenty of time for a bite if you're coming straight from work. Art & THRIVE evening starts at 7:30pm.
