Hokusai – The Great Wave in paint

Although the original picture called 'The Great Wave’ by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) was created by the ancient craft of woodcut printing, the iconic image lends itself to a graphic style of painting.

Under the skilful instruction of Jacqui Simpson, learn how to first plan your picture to then paint it by using simple dabs and swipes of the paintbrush. Even if you’ve never painted before it is a fun way to switch-off and unwind, so why not throw caution to the wind, go with the flow and just lose yourself for a few hours.
