This course will show you how you can do it!

A must for anyone who loves painting and drawing as a hobby, once loved art at school and would like to rekindle their passion or who is simply stuck in progressing their creative abilities further.

This short course of 4 online sessions will help you to:

Gain confidence quickly so that you can take your drawing and painting skills to the next level. And ENJOY the process!!

Equip you with a broad understanding of how to progress and evolve your painting skills so that you can develop the scope of your own work.

The course will cover:

Exploring the relationship between you and your currentl level of painting skill/style and why you stick to wha tyou know. How to see your work differently so that you can make a series of progressions to advance and to keep your work fresh.

How to move our of your comfort zone by applying some simple exercises and techniques without feeling self-conscious about your work.

Understanding how different composition, colour and light affects the mood, narrative and impact of your picture. How to build a picture by gathering good reference material. How to explore and create relevant study material to give your picture more meaning and ultimately be more appealing as a final artwork that you will want to show the world!

What you will need: Paper/sketch book A4/A3.  A range of graphite pencils (2B - 6B - H) and coloured pencils and/or pastels. Paints: Acrylics, or water colour. 2/3 different sized canvases or canvas board of your choice or canvas paper pad.

Classes are delivered via Zoom. A link/PW will be emailed to you prior to each session.

Technology.

• Art & THRIVE art classes take place in ZOOM.
• You can use ZOOM without an account on your PC/MAC/laptop via the web app. If accessing via phone or tablet you will need to install the ZOOM app first. If you are a newbie to ZOOM and need assistance please email info@artandthrive.com.
